My client is looking for someone to lead sales and business development activities in the Seattle. Ideally, the person should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a desire to shape his/her future within the team. The person should have understanding, networking and capabilities in the field of advertising sales, and new social media marketing activities.

Working closely with the VP Client Services and the UK based Managing Director, the candidate will shape the future of the the company’s proposition in the market and grow the team over the next 12 months. They are looking for someone to use existing networks and business development skills to rapidly grow the marketing and advertising business in the US.

The candidate will display excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to interact with senior level clients (CMO, CEO, Marketing Director, CRM Head) while working closely with the technical, operational and client servicing teams on pre-sales and after-sales activities.

The candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering/exceeding sales targets, closing large scale deals, and leading commercial negotiations direct with brands or through agencies for digital channels and advertising network.

Account management and project management support capabilities would be considered a plus in the candidate track records, supporting projects during delivery and execution after sales.

Key Requirements:

Ability to create a pipeline of business, build strategic partnerships, and execute against business development plan.
Ability to open opportunities, conduct commercial negotiations and close deals
Ability to manage strategic client relationships
Proven track record of selling at all levels of the client
Ability to build and manage an effective sales team
Strong Communication/ Networking Skills
Existing networks and track record of sales with major agencies and brands
Proven experience of mobile and digital marketing or advertising is a bonus, but not critical
5-8 years experience in sales (this is flexible depending on quality of experience)
Comfortable with fast-moving, entrepreneurial organisation
Flexible, Motivated, self-starter
Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
Mobile advertising understanding, especially on new key trends of interactions such as social media marketing, etc…
Innovation skills in shaping and presenting the company’s capabilities to customers
Capabilities and connections with large media agencies in US
